Danny Jones joked about 'leaving wife' in house move days before Maura 'kiss'
McFly star Danny Jones was seen leaving a BRIT Awards after-party with Maura Higgins, just days after he joked about 'leaving his wife' on a podcast.

McFly star Danny Jones made a light-hearted comment about "leaving" his wife just days before he was seen with Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards afterparty. The two were spotted departing the post-awards celebration together following their attendance at the prestigious music event on Saturday and it's been reported they even shared a 'kiss'.
Recently, Danny featured on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's 'Parenting Hell' podcast, where he discussed the band's joint tour with Busted, parenting challenges, and his stint in the jungle for 'I'm A Celebrity', where he met Maura.

Early in the podcast, Danny humorously mentioned "leaving" his wife during a conversation about house renovations. He sympathised with Josh, saying: "Are you renovating? Same mate. It's a nightmare isn't it?" This led to Rob jokingly suggesting that Danny entered the jungle to fund his home improvements, while Josh quipped about using the time for getting his kitchen done, reports the Mirror.
Rob then made a jest about contestants being honest about their reasons for joining the show, saying: "you're honest when they go - why are you here? I've got a massive tax bill and she's left me. That's why I'm here. Give me the kangaroo d*** and let's get this done."

Danny joined in with the banter, remarking: "Do you know what? I left my wife to move," and then clarified in jest: "I just left my wife," prompting laughter from all three. Rob called it an "awkward exclusive" and Josh echoed the sentiment with: "What an exclusive."
Danny then elaborated on the joke, explaining: "I left my wife to move house so I'm surprised she's still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself."

Danny later confessed that he had seen signs of being "overwhelmed" in his wife, Georgia, upon returning home. He recounted: "When I got back, my wife was like I think I just need to go away to a hut myself for a few days. I said go and take yourself away and have a few days. You know what it was like, she was overwhelmed. It got too much for her, I could see it in her. I was like you just need to go away."

During the extensive conversation, Danny discussed how crucial it is to schedule personal time for himself and Georgia. "Another element to add to it as well is that it's mine and Georgia's time, it's adult time. And that's where our relationship can blossom a bit and watch something together on Netflix or have dinner together. Because those times you don't get," he explained.
"You don't get them at weekends. It's a nice time to just sit down with my wife and have dinner and be like 'how was your day?' But then you're getting constantly, mummy, daddy can I have a cuddle, and it's through dinner all the time. It's difficult to balance it all."

When asked about the biggest lesson he's learned, he shared: "I've definitely learned that time with my son is more important than anything. Being there for him and being present when he needs that emotional support. Like last night, I find myself slipping back into my [old] ways.
"'It's bedtime, get to bed, clean your teeth mate. Dinner's on, I'm kind of trying to cook for mummy and I've got to be here'. It does get a lot but we're all the same and some nights I'm better than others - some nights, I'm nailing life and bedtime ... The best thing I've learned is that time is hard to find but when you do find it, it's really nice. Enjoying that time - not that I've ever not enjoyed it - but when I've been distracted and someone needs my attention or needs an answer, I think that's really important. He notices it."
