Danny Jones thought I'm A Celeb co-star was 'rude', then he found out why
The McFly star has been talking about his jungle experience after being crowned king of the jungle back in December
Danny Jones has revealed how he thought one of his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here co-stars was 'rude' before the truth was finally revealed.
The McFly star was seen being crowned king of the jungle back in December after signing up for the ITV reality show's 2024 run. He made it to the final three alongside TV personality Coleen Rooney, who finished runner-up, and third place star Reverend Richard Coles before he was confirmed to have won the series.
In the immediate aftermath of him winning the show, fronted by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Danny cried and said it felt "amazing" and "surreal".
Now, Danny has been sharing details about his time Down Under and what has been going on since in numerous interviews and it was when appearing on Heart Breakfast that Danny told how he thought GK Barry was 'rude' because she never looked him in the eye, but it turned out it was because she used to have a poster of him up on her wall!
GK during her time in the jungle (Image: ITV)Danny told hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston: "Do you know what? It’s funny I remember sitting around the campfire and there was this question asked, and it was like ‘what have you got to say about the other, you know, what have you learnt or what can you see a change in the other camp mates?'
"And I was like, 'GK I’ve noticed that you can now look me in the eye.' Because when I first met her I was like oh she’s a bit rude, you know? I was like why’s she not looking at me or talking to me, you know, looking me in the eye. She went, 'Oh Danny, it’s because I’ve got a reason. It’s because I used to have a poster of you on me wall.'"
Danny and the hosts started to laugh before he added: "And I was like ‘oh my God, all this time I thought you were just, you know, not talking to me!'" Amanda replied: "Oh, she was shy! That’s cute."
Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden airs weekdays from 06:30 – 10:00 across the UK and on Global Player
