David Beckham's 'royal decision' as he picks side in William and Harry row
The ex-England captain was once a pal of Prince Harry but it has now been claimed things have changed after the Duke of Sussex moved stateside with his wife Meghan Markle
David Beckham has reportedly made a significant decision by aligning himself with the Royal Family after allegedly "snubbing" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The former England captain and his wife Victoria were recently invited to a star-studded dinner at Highgrove House, the King's Cotswolds retreat.
The couple was once said to be close friends of Harry and Meghan, with David and Victoria having attended the Sussexes' 2018 wedding at Windsor Castle. However, their relationship reportedly soured after a "frosty" incident.
Tom Bower, in his book House of Beckham, claims that Meghan was incensed after The Sun published an article about her "growing friendship" with Victoria, which stated: "Their [Meghan and Victoria's] love of pricey facials and glamorous blow-dries has become the foundation for a growing friendship."

Victoria was said to be hurt "as that's the last thing she would ever do", and it's said that David and their sons are "holding a major grudge".
Now an expert has claimed that David has thrown his support behind Prince William, after saying he has joined forces with the Prince of Wales "whenever he's asked me". And while reports have suggested Victoria would be willing to make amends with Meghan, royal expert Emily Andrews remains "doubtful", reports the Express.
In her column for Woman magazine, she remarked: "There have been suggestions that Victoria might be happy to make amends with Meghan (although I doubt it, I must admit). But David has very much nailed his colours to the British Royal Family mast â and not the rival court in Montecito."
A source previously disclosed to the Express that David wouldn't be "disloyal" to the King and Queen, considering their strong rapport, by "welcoming Harry and Meghan back".

They noted that the football icon is "fiercely protective" of his spouse and doesn't see reconciling with Harry and Meghan as advisable.
The source revealed: "They're just so offended and angry on her behalf and think she's being way too nice about it all. As far as they're concerned, there is no going back."
David, who boasts a legendary career with clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, has earned the moniker "Sir in waiting" from admirers.
Awarded an OBE in 2003, he has yet to receive a knighthood, a prospect seemingly marred by the 2017 leak of his critical emails about the Honours Committee.
