David Moyes' cheeky Sir Alex Ferguson quip as he risks Man Utd icon's fury
Moyes was interviewed ahead of kick-off at Goodison Park and offered a warm heartfelt gesture.
Everton boss David Moyes made a cheeky Sir Alex Ferguson remark prior to kick-off between the Toffees and Manchester United. The Blues boss extended a warm welcome to both Rio Ferdinand and Duncan Ferguson ahead of kick-off.
Moyes, who is currently enjoying a superb second spell at Goodison Park, was interviewed live on TNT Sports ahead of the Saturday lunchtime kick-off and appeared to be in a jovial mood.

The former West Ham boss kindly offered Ferdinand, Ferguson and anyone else who wished to join them for a drink after the game, with Sir Alex Ferguson also set to be in attendance.

The wholesome moment was captured live on TV and fans have been quick to praise the ever-friendly Scot for his sentiment.
āCome in after?ā began Moyes as he offered the microphone back to TNT's very own Ferdinand. āFor a bottle of red?ā responded the former United defender who seemed taken aback by the gesture.
ā
āSir Alex is here and I donāt have any good red!ā responded Moyes who appeared sheepish in his admission. āOh no. Youāre gonna be in trouble!ā replied Ferdinand, before the pair went their own way.
Moyes has enjoyed a stunning return to Merseyside, especially given his torrid spell at Old Trafford that had once threatened to taint his reputation as one of the Premier League's best-ever managers.
Ruben Amorim will be facing off against a man he has much admiration for, as echoed earlier this week in the build-up to the tie.

"Simple thing, David Moyes is doing a better job than me," said Amorim when asked why Everton have had a 'managerial bounce'.
"Then small things like winning one game, winning two games and then the belief. The pressure is not the same but we have to give merit to the players of Everton and especially to the coaches of Everton."
