The emotional intensity hit its peak when Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) read out a heartfelt letter that Dorna had left behind. The letter was laden with affection and regret for having to give up her child.
"I think you should hear this. She mentions the ring you told me about. But, she says 'I have not taken it off since I got back here, and I'm never going to. I'm always going to wear it. And, whenever I look at it, I'm always going to think of our little boy.' I don't think she ever forgot you," Selwyn relayed to Mervin, reports the Mirror.
Struggling to handle the emotional weight of the discovery, Mervin held back tears and asked for a moment alone.
Viewers were deeply touched by the touching sequence, taking to social media to share their reactions.
