Digital-to-visual Artist Andrés Reisinger Unveils Furniture Collection With Dubai’s Gallery Collectional
Explore Andrés Reisinger's Winter Collection, a blend of furniture and accessories, debuting at Dubai's Gallery Collectional.
DUBAI DEBUT: Andrés Reisinger, the Barcelona-based, Argentine artist who has charmed both the digital and physical design worlds, is set to unveil his most comprehensive physical furniture and home accessories collection to date.
The Winter Collection, which includes an armchair, couch, divider, lighting and blanket, will debut Feb. 6 at Dubai’s renowned collectible design space, Gallery Collectional.
Reisinger rose to the fore in recent years as a digital artist and has evolved into a visual artist. He’s most famous for digital and visual works like “Pollen” and “The Shipping” and saw his Hortensia armchair become an actual piece of furniture in 2019, a feat that few digital designers have achieved. In addition, Pollen evolved into the Pollination of Hortensia carpets for Dutch lifestyle brand Moooi, launched during Milan Design Week 2023.

The Winter Collection was also inspired by the Winter House, a virtual residence Reisinger codesigned with Madrid-based architect Alba de la Fuente in January 2022.

Reisinger Studio Reisinger StudioLast year, Reisinger was one of the highlights of Milan Design Week 2024 and made a splash with his large-scale experiential exhibition “12 Chairs for Meditation” made in Mexico mosaic, co-curated with Nilufar’s founder Nina Yashar.
He also has ties with Germany’s Vitra, particularly the Vitra Museum with whom he curated the exhibition design of “Science Fiction Design: From Space Age to Metaverse” with more than 100 objects from the museum’s collection and a range of examples from the early 20th century to the so-called Space Age of the 1960s and ’70s.
In April of last year, Italy-based Golden Goose collaborated with Reisinger for its 60th Venice Biennale in Haus of Dreamers. Haus of Dreamers is an all-encompassing cultural concept and event for which Reisinger envisaged an installation characterized by his tactile drapery for a fully sensorial experience.
Gallery Collectional has collaborated with furnishing and lighting companies worldwide, including B&B Italia, New York-based lighting studio Apparatus, British designer Tom Dixon and Italy-based natural stone specialist Salvatori.
