Discover Ted Lasso’s London filming locations: Your ultimate guide
While the team in the hit Apple TV + football series is fake, the locations are real. Why not discover some of the landmarks for yourself and pretend to be Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt or Lasso himself?
Jason Sudeikis’s naive but kind portrayal as an American coach out of his depth in the British football world has won fans across the globe, including US President Joe Biden.
But while the team in the series, AFC Richmond, is fake, the locations are real and many can be found on a walk around parts of London.
Here you can discover some of the landmarks for yourself and perhaps pretend to be Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt or Lasso himself.
Richmond
The Crown and Anchor is in real life called the Prince’s Head
Google Maps
A common location in the series is the Crown and Anchor pub, which in real life is The Prince’s Head, a tavern just a few minutes’ walk from Richmond Station. However, only exterior shots of the pub are used and scenes inside were filmed elsewhere.
Lasso’s house is not given a street name in the series but eagle-eyed viewers noticed he walks past an Argentinian eatery called Chango — to give away it was filmed at Paved Court. It is worth a visit to sample the empanadas, while another shop nearby has started selling Ted Lasso merchandise.
Twickenham
Another south-west London town also makes appearances. However, viewers of the show are invited to believe the scenes are still in Richmond.
Roy, Keeley and Phoebe are seen sat next to the Thames with Twickenham Rowing Club on Eel Pie Island in the background in a series two episode.
Characters are also seen wandering around and shopping on what is, in real life, Church Street in Twickenham.
Hayes and Yeading
The real life home of west London side Hayes and Yeading FC doubles as the training ground for AFC Richmond. Beaconsfield Road is a stone’s throw from West London Studios, where Ted Lasso is produced.
Crystal Palace
AFC Richmond play their home games at Nelson Road, which might appear familiar to regular watchers of the Premier League. The ground is actually Crystal Palace’s home Selhurst Park, and fans of The Eagles are sometimes incorporated into the background of scenes.
Fulham
Craven Cottage, home of Fulham

AFC Richmond won away at Everton without actually leaving London as Craven Cottage, home of Fulham, was used to show Goodison Park in Liverpool.
Wembley
Wembley Stadium was the venue for AFC Richmond’s FA Cup semi

There is no substitute for the home of English football, however, and Wembley Stadium itself is used for an episode where AFC Richmond play Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The show is officially set to return for a fourth season.
