Djokovic has beaten 26-seed Tomas Machac and 24-seed Jiri Lehecka with ease heading into this exciting meeting with Alcaraz.
But the 21-year-old, who knocked out British star Jack Draper at the weekend, will prove to be the legend’s toughest opponent of the tournament so far.
Alcaraz reached the last eight after Draper retired through injury and now he faces Djokovic, with the winner taking on either Tommy Paul or Alexander Zverev.
This Australian Open quarter-final will take place on Tuesday, January 21.

This will be the eighth meeting between Djokovic and Alcaraz.
In their seven matches so far, it’s the Serbian who has won the most, claiming four victories with his opponent winning three.
Djokovic won the most recent clash between the two, coming out on top of an incredible final at the Paris Olympics to achieve a historic Golden Slam.
Meanwhile, Alcaraz’s last two wins against the tennis icon have come in Wimbledon finals.
He’s beaten the 37-year-old in SW17 to claim the last two Wimbledon titles, claiming a 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 win in last year’s showpiece.
This Australian Open will be their first meeting of 2025, with Djokovic looking to increase his record amount of Grand Slam titles.
Alcaraz has 20 less major trophies than his opponent but being 16 years younger certainly gives him a chance of potentially catching up.
