Dolly Parton pays tribute to husband Carl Dean as she announces his death

Country music icon Dolly Parton is mourning the loss of her beloved husband, Carl Dean, who has passed away at the age of 82. The couple shared a lifetime of love in nearly 60 years of marriage before Dean died in Nashville, the city they called home.
He leaves behind his siblings, Sandra and Donnie, with plans for a private burial attended only by his immediate family.

Releasing a statement, Dolly revealed her deep sorrow: "Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away on March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending. He was survived by his siblings Sandra and Donnie."
She further reminisced about their enduring bond: "Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy. The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time."

The couple had been inseparable since their marriage began in 1966 after first meeting back in 1964. Unlike his world-famous wife, Dean never sought the limelight, having never walked a red carpet or mingled within showbiz circles, reports the Mirror.
Preferring to avoid tours, he operated a paving business and relished life on their expansive Tennessee farm.
Dolly has often spoken fondly of her husband, expressing her admiration in a previous interview with the Mirror: "I love the fact he loves me, sees me, tolerates me, because of and in spite of myself," she said.

"It's all about the sweet little things he does like picking flowers for me, making my coffee in the morning. He is incredibly thoughtful and we love each other for all the same reasons.
"We are very different but very compatible. And it just works.The two greatest gifts God ever gave me was a best friend – Judy – and then Carl.
