President-elect Donald Trump said that longtime supporters Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone will be his “special ambassadors” to Hollywood.
Trump wrote on Truth Social today, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE! These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”
It’s unclear what kind of activity the three actors will do in the incoming administration.

Trump has long railed against the entertainment industry, which heavily supported Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
Media companies and studios are gearing up for the next administration, and they have tried to distinguish between the industry’s business concerns and the political stances of individuals in the creative community. Patrick Kilcur, who has led lobbying for the Motion Picture Association, is departing to Ballard Partners, a firm with substantial ties to Trump and his administration. Kilcur will continue to represent the MPA and other industry clients.
