Donald Trump is in âexcellent cognitive and physical healthâ despite being the oldest man elected US President, his White House physician said.
The 78-year-old is 20 pounds (9kg) lighter since his last exam five years ago showed him bordering on obesity.
He was also found to have scaring on the right ear from a gunshot wound after a failed assassination attempt last July.
His doctor, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, cited the avid golferâs âactive lifestyleâ that âcontinues to contribute significantlyâ to Trumpâs well-being, according to the first annual physical of his second presidential term.
In a three-page comprehensive summary, Dr Barbabella said Trump is âfully fit to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of Stateâ.
As a part of Fridayâs near five-hour medical examination at the Walter Reed hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, he received several blood tests, a cardiac check and ultrasounds.

Trump weighs 224lb (101kg) and stands 6ft 2.5in tall, according to the records from Dr Barbabella. He has shed several pounds since 2020 when he weighed 244lb.
The summary noted that Trump previously had cataract surgery on both eyes, but did not include a date or dates.
On the campaign trail, he frequently attacked his Democratic rival Joe Biden over his cognitive and physical health.
According to the report in July 2024, then-candidate Trump had a colonoscopy that found a benign polyp and the condition called diverticulosis. Itâs a common condition in which the walls of the intestine weaken with age and can lead to inflammation, though most people with it never experience any problems.
Trump may be the oldest person elected to Americaâs highest office, but he is four years behind Democrat Joe Biden, who was 82 when his term ended in January.
Dr Barbabella wrote that he remains in âexcellent healthâ with ârobust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and general physical functionâ.
Trumpâs cholesterol levels have improved over time, helped by the medications rosuvastatin and ezetimibe.
His blood pressure was 128 over 74 which is considered elevated. People in that situation are likely to develop hypertension unless steps are taken to control the condition.
