President Donald Trump said Russia's missile strike on Sumy in Ukraine, which killed dozens of civilians on Palm Sunday, including children, was "a mistake".

"I think it was terrible and I was told they made a mistake, but I think it's a horrible thing," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday evening. "I think the whole war's a horrible thing."

This is a developing story and more information will be added shortly.
