Dragon Ball Daima's finale showed off Goku's best Kamehameha.
Warning: Contains spoilers for the finale of Dragon Ball DaimaDragon Ball Daima, Goku's newest anime adventure, has come to an end. Episode #20, titled "Maximum", featured some of the franchise's greatest visuals, as the battle between Goku and Gomah reached its tipping point. Donning his new-look Super Saiyan 4 transformation, Goku gave the evil ruler of the Demon Realm everything he had and more, culminating in the use of his iconic signature move, the Kamehameha.
Not only Goku's most iconic move, but arguably the most recognizable attack in all of anime and manga history, countless Kamehamehas have been fired throughout the 40 years Dragon Ball has been active. Many will point to Goku's angry Kamehameha on Namek or the combined Father-Son Kamehameha as being the series' all-time best, but Dragon Ball Daima's finale has given fans a new contender for the title.
Daima's Full-Power Kamehameha Ranks Among Dragon Ball's BestGoku's Latest Kamehameha Calls Back to His Most Iconic
Sensing the danger Gomah posed to Earth's heroes and the Demon Realm, Goku entered the series' final battle with the sole intent of ending it. His adult version of Super Saiyan 4 overpowered the ruler at every turn, and in an attempt to put the fight away, the series' leading Saiyan charged his most famous attack. Not only is the sequence visually gorgeous, but towards the tail end of it, there are frames that call back to Goku's Kamehameha against Baby in GT, as well as the one used against Vegeta during the Saiyan Saga.
The blast easily overpowered Gomah's counterattack, before blowing a hole clean through the chest of the Demon Realm king. Unfortunately, due to the Evil Third Eye fixed to his forehead, the damage Gomah sustained was only temporary, and the victory would ultimately come down to a few good whacks from Majin Kuu. Dragon Ball Daima boasted another impressive use of the Kamehameha during Episode #8, in which Goku took on Tamigami #3, but it pales in comparison to the series' final use of the attack.
Daima's Final Kamehameha Proves Goku Will Always Be a HeroThe Attack Created Another Tunnel in the Demon Realm
Series' creator Akira Toriyama was always adamant that Goku wasn't a superhero. The Saiyan often fights selfishly and has plenty of flaws, but he is a hero nonetheless, as proven with the latest anime's last Kamehameha. Intended only to defeat Gomah, Goku's attack went clean through the evil king and wound up creating a hole reaching from the First to the Third Demon Worlds. As a result, the gas which polluted the world was able to rise, freeing the residents from its harsh conditions and opening up a traversible path throughout the Demon Realm.
