Drew Barrymore Revealed Her Best On-Screen Kiss on 'Watch What Happens Live'
Drew Barrymore appeared on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' and revealed that Adam Sandler was her best on-screen kiss.
Drew Barrymore has appeared in her fair share of rom-coms over the years. She starred opposite Hugh Grant in Music and Lyrics, Michael Vartan in Never Been Kissed, and Jimmy Fallon in Fever Pitch. But there's one co-star with whom she has shared the screen more than any other—Adam Sandler. And, as it turns out, he's also her favorite co-star to kiss—in a film, that is. And her reason is, unsurprisingly, so thoughtful.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Cohen quizzed Barrymore on some of her favorite people to work with over the years. After she revealed that her favorite director was Steven Spielberg, she said the Sandler was her best on-screen kiss.
"I mean, I love that Adam Sandler and I are so platonic," she reasoned. "We've never dated, his wife Jackie, is my dear friend, but I love being in films with him because I think we're representing something bigger than hot, sexual chemistry, we're representing true admiration of another person."

Barrymore and Sandler first collaborated in the 1998 rom-com The Wedding Singer, in which Sandler played a broken-hearted man who falls for a woman who is already planning her wedding to someone else. Six years later, they reunited for 50 First Dates, which saw Sandler playing a guy who falls for a woman with short-term memory loss. Finally, in 2014, they shared the screen once more in Blended, a film about two single parents who go on a classic enemies-to-lovers journey.

Perhaps the reason Barrymore and Sandler share such unmatched chemistry is their long-standing friendship. Back in 2023, Barrymore gushed about Sandler while receiving an award, saying that their bond is "all based in like, love, admiration and humor."
