DRIVERS are being warned of upcoming overnight closures on a busy motorway in Glasgow.

DRIVERS are being warned of upcoming overnight closures on a busy motorway in Glasgow.
The M77 southbound at junction one – Dumbreck and Mosspark – as well as the off-slip road will be shut between March 26 and March 29.
The closure will be in place from 8pm to 6am each night.
This is to allow Amey to carry out essential resurfacing work.

March 26 to March 28Closure of the M77 junction one southbound off-slip road. Traffic will be directed to continue on the M77 southbound to junction two and re-join the M77 northbound to exit via the northbound junction one off-slip road.
Closure of the M74 northbound on-slip road from Seaward Street. Traffic will be directed to follow Scotland Street and Carnoustie Street to join the M74.
Closure of the M74 northbound to M77 southbound link road. Traffic will stay on the M74 northbound to exit at the M8 junction 23, then follow Dumbreck Road, Mosspark Boulevard, Corkerhill Road, Braidcraft Road, and Barrhead Road to join the M77 at junction two. From March 28 traffic will join the M77 at junction one.
March 26 – March 27Closure of M77 junction one southbound and northbound on-slips. Traffic from Dumbreck Road will follow Mosspark Boulevard, Corkerhill Road, Braidcraft Road, and Barrhead Road to join the M77 at junction two.
From 10pm on these dates Dumbreck Road eastbound will be shut between Mosspark Boulevard and Lochinch Avenue and the westbound right turn lanes onto the M77 junction one on-slip.
Local traffic will follow Nithsdale Road and St Andrews Drive to rejoin Dumbreck Road. M77 junction one traffic will follow Mosspark Boulevard, Corkerhill Road, Braidcraft Road, and the B762 Barrhead Road to rejoin the M77 at junction two.
March 27Closure of M77 southbound from the M8 to M77 junction two.
Traffic will continue on the M8 westbound to junction 24 Helen Street, then follow Helen Street, Paisley Road West, Corkerhill Road, Braidcraft Road, and Barrhead Road to join the M77 at junction two.
Closure of the M8 westbound to M77 junction one southbound link road. There is no diversion required for this closure.

Transport Scotland notes that all traffic management will be removed by 6am on March 29.
Emergency service vehicle access will be maintained throughout the works.
All schemes are said to be weather-dependent and could be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
