Kim So Yeon And Yeon Woo Jin Can’t Seem To Escape One Another In “A Virtuous Business”
JTBC’s upcoming drama “A Virtuous Business” has unveiled a glimpse of the chemistry between Kim So Yeon and Yeon Woo Jin!
A remake of the British television series “Brief Encounters,” “A Virtuous Business” will tell the story of the independence, growth, and friendship of four women who delve into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village back in 1992, when it was still taboo to talk about sex.
Kim So Yeon will star as Han Jung Sook, who has always repressed her sexual desires because of her husband’s wishes. As a result, whenever the neighborhood housewives crack R-rated jokes, Jung Sook awkwardly freezes up, finding it uncomfortable to even talk about sex. Ironically, however, the repressed Jung Sook winds up selling adult products in order to make ends meet for the sake of her kid.
Yeon Woo Jin will play the role of Kim Do Hyun, a suspicious detective from Seoul who has just been transferred to Jung Sook’s village. Do Hyun, who grew up in the United States and lived there until high school, is unexpectedly quite old-fashioned when it comes to dating and romance.
When they first meet, Jung Sook desperately seeks Do Hyun’s help in retrieving the adult products she needs to sell, and the detective valiantly comes to her rescue. But after realizing what Jung Sook was looking for, the surprised Do Hyun finds himself in disbelief at the absurdity of the situation.
However, even though he initially hopes not to become further entangled with her, Do Hyun keeps running into Jung Sook everywhere he goes—and he ultimately winds up falling for her unique charm.
“A Virtuous Business” will premiere on October 12 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out a preview for the first episode here!
