EastEnders icon Natalie Cassidy moved to shoot down rumours that she is celebrity behind The Masked Singer's Bush
During an intense back and forth on their Off The Telly podcast, co-hosts Joanna Page and Natalie discussed suggestions that the EastEnders star is the face behind the character on ITV's the Masked Singer.
Gavin & Stacey star Joanna put the question simply to Natalie, as she said: "I'm sorry right, but are you Bush? Everyone thinks that you are Bush. I think you are Bush, I mean all of the clues are making me feel that you are Bush. Are you Bush?" As Joanna probed for answers from her co-host, she finally thought that she had got the titbit that everyone had been waiting for.

Jed Cullen/Dave Benett/Getty Ima)Natalie replied: "I think Davina (McCall) is onto something. Well, Davina said that it could be Moragana Robinson and then I thought hang on a minute." Joanna then cut in saying "oh my god, you think Morgana is doing your voice?"
Natalie admitted that she has been inundated with messages from fans of the show who are adamant the soap actress is behind the mask. Joanna delved deeper in her analysis as she tried to finally get to the bottom of whether the 41-year-old is in fact the Bush.
She said: "The voice sounds like you, but I'm looking at the body language and the body language doesn't seem like you. You know sometimes you look at them (the contestants) and you can tell, but the body language doesn't look like you, it's the voice."
It's not the first time that the EastEnders star has been probed on the subject, as she was also recently questioned by her nieces on her Life With Nat podcast. Natalie even confessed that the singer's voice had a particular likeness to her own.
In what is the sixth series in the UK of the popular ITV show, we have already seen a number of singers reveal their true identities, as Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway was the first to be uncovered.
Next was Pegasus, who turned out to be Bake Off judge Prue Leith, before Macy Gray, Carol Decker and Mel Giedroyc became the latest contestants to leave the show. Kingfisher and Snail, were unmasked as Sir Grayson Perry and The Corrs’ Andrea Corr earlier this month.
As Natalie has been hotly tipped to be the face behind The Bush, it wouldn't be her first foray into the world of reality TV having previously appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 before going on to appear in Celebrity Big Brother, three years later, finishing in eighth place.
It comes days after Natalie announced she is going to be leaving EastEnders again. She first appeared on the soap as Sonia Fowler in 1993 and this will be the third time she has quit Albert Square.
The Masked Singer returns this evening (Saturday, February 8) at 7pm on ITV.
