Elizabeth Hurley Teased Billy Ray Cyrus Romance Before Easter Hard Launch
Elizabeth was dropping clues and fans missed it.
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus surprised everyone on Easter Sunday with the hard launch of their relationship on Instagram â no one saw this duo coming.
While they waited until they were ready to reveal the news of their reported romance, it looked like Hurley was dropping hints that she was in love earlier in the month. On April 9, the 59-year-old actress shared a video with her fans that showed her frolicking in a bikini on the beach while on vacation. âThe most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives,â she wrote in the caption.

Upon closer look, thereâs an obvious Cyrus clue if followers had their volume turned up, per Us Weekly. His single, âSheâs Not Cryinâ Anymoreâ played alongside the sunset video and nobody picked up on the breadcrumb.

Hurley and Cyrus are such an unexpected couple, but they do have a work history. In 2022, they starred in Christmas in Paradise with Kelsey Grammar. She raved about the 63-year-old singer during the press junket for the film. âThe opportunity to work with Billy Ray, whom Iâve long been a fan of â my son was the age where he used to watch Hannah Montana all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him,â she told MovieWeb. âI knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus.â
The year their movie came out, Cyrus got engaged to singer-songwriter Firerose, who was 27 years younger than him. They married in October 2023, but by May 2024 they were done. Cyrus filed for divorce on May 23, 2024, citing âirreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct,â per People.
The contentious relationship ended with a source telling the media outlet, âFirerose chose to walk away without fighting for money in order to be done with the volatile relationship and anything having to do with Billy.â

With that noted timeline, it would seem that Hurley and Cyrus reconnected between early June 2024 and this year. Given how happy they look and the stamp of approval from Hurleyâs son, Damian, 23, this blossoming romance was probably happening right under everyoneâs noses.
