Elon Musk has been slammed by his former girlfriend for participating in a bizarre White House photo op with Donald Trump.
The controversial business magnate, 53, who currently goes by "Harry Bolz" on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, appeared alongside the US President at the Oval Office on Tuesday night in a televised press conference. He took questions from journalists in a roundly mocked display during which the unelected head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) railed against unelected officials while his son played in the background.
Among those heaping criticism on the world's richest man was his former partner, Canadian singer-songwriter Grimes, who was alerted by followers on social media that four-year-old X AE A-XII was being paraded on screen. She took to the platform Musk named after his son to condemn her former flame's decision to exhibit him on national television.

Getty Images)Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, was alerted by a follower of the moment her son told the sitting US President "I need to pee" while standing beside the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. While she was commended for "raising him well", she criticised Musk's decision to wheel him out to the public.
She wrote: "He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh." The singer and business magnate dated between 2018 and 2022, and have three children together - sons X Ć A-Xii and Techno Mechanicus, and daughter Exa Dark SiderƦl.
Musk frequently rolls young X out to the public, with the toddler having previously appeared on-stage at a rally alongside his dad and during an interview with right-wing MAGA agitator Tucker Carlson, who hosts a show on the social media platform with which he shares a name.

Getty Images)The four-year-old could be seen grasping the all-important Resolute Desk, which dozens of Presidents have used over decades to sign landmark legislation, and at one point appeared to pick his nose before touching the all-important table. He won high praise from Mr Trump, who introduced the youngster to onlooking journalists and called him a "high IQ individual".
Mr Trump said: "X are you ok? This is X and he is a great guy, high IQ. A high IQ individual." At one point during the odd interaction, Musk hoisted the child - who had been mimicking his dad throughout the conference - onto his shoulders, where he started playing with his dad's ears.
Laughing, Musk said: "Sorry for this. Otherwise, I might enjoy this, but as he's sticking his fingers in my ears."
