Eminem has become a grandfather as his daughter Hailie Jade has welcomed a baby boy named Elliot Marshall McClintock.
Hailie, 29, is the only biological child that the rapper shares with his ex-wife Kim Scott, and on Friday (April 4), she announced the happy news on Instagram, writing: âhappy due date//3 weeks earthside little eâ.

The accompanying photos confirms the babyâs name and birth date of March 14. His middle name Marshall pays tribute to his grandfather, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, while some onlookers have noted that his initials could also be read as âEM&Mâ.

Eminem first shared the news that he was to become a grandfather in the video for his song âTemporaryâ in October, which was dedicated to his daughter and includes audio of her as a baby. The video includes an emotional montage of moments from throughout their lives, including when Hailie presented Em with a blue jumper with âGrandpa 1â on the back.
She then hands him what appears to be a picture of an ultrasound scan which the rapper appears visibly surprised by before showing it to the camera.

Hailie later confirmed her pregnancy with her husband Evan McClintock in an Instagram post which read: âmom & dad est. 2025.â The couple, who have been dating since 2016, married in May 2024.
Eminemâs daughter said earlier last year she âaudibly sobbedâ listening to the rapperâs new album âThe Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)â.
Pointing to the music video for âSomebody Save Meâ, which is set in an alternate reality where Eminem, who is now 16 years sober, never recovered from his addiction, she said at the time: âSpeaking of things I watched this past week, which I guess Iâll say watched, but I refused to watch again â the âSomebody Save Meâ music video is out and I did watch the thing. I donât think I can do it again. I definitely cry every time I hear it at all.â
In a three-star review of âThe Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)â, NME wrote: âMuch more powerful is âTemporaryâ, a genuinely moving ode to his daughter, Hailie, which proves Marshall Mathers can say something that matters when he wants to.

âSo, who killed Slim Shady? In bringing him back to the light and showing him up as irrelevant, perhaps Eminemâs done his old pal in for good. OK, we get it â Shady was a shocking character. Now that heâs dead, how about getting some new material?â
