Emmerdale are set to air a special episode next week, dedicated to April Windsor's disappearance.
The episode is set to show how the teenager's 'life changed' after living on the streets. The last sighting of April was when she was seen getting into a mysterious car. It had been a tough time for the teenager as she learnt the truth of her mum Donna's death. There had previously been fears the teen had died, after a young girl holding April's purse was found stabbed.
In the most recent developments, her father Marlon is worried Anthony Fox had something to do with her disappearance, as he and most other residents are unaware he has been murdered.
The flashback episode will show how the teens life 'changed forever'
After months of pain and misery, Marlon and Rhona will finally receive answers about their daughter's disappearance, after a visit from PC Swirling. However, as of yet it's not been confirmed whether she's dead or alive.
On Tuesday February 4, fans will be given insight into April's time 'on the streets' as they learn of her devastating story in a special standalone episode. Emmerdale producer Luke Shaw called the story "a heart breaking depiction of life on the street as a teenage girl."
The team enlisted the help of team at Missing People, insuring they didn't "shy away" from the "agonising journey that April would go through." He then credited young actress Amelia Flanagan's "outstanding performance," which made the episode "one of Emmerdale's stand out episodes of this year."

He continued: "It promises to start a new journey for the character of April, forever changed by her time living on the city streets."
Speaking further, Emmerdale released on their social media pages: "The flashback will depict April's journey from having no luck finding somewhere to stay, to her life on the streets and the terrifying and heart breaking situations the young teenager found herself in."
Similarly, Mark Charnock who plays Marlon Dingle in the soap expressed that he was “incredibly proud” of the soap for the special episode. "It's incredible and she's incredible in it and it fills in all the gaps the audience have had so far. I'm really proud of the show for doing it.”
Since the reveal, fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter to express their thoughts. One emotional fan tweeted: "Not ready for April's special episode on Tuesday," alongside crying and heartbroken emojis. "Amelia Flanagan is going to be incredible. #Emmerdale," they continued.
