Emmerdale's Asan N'jie is set to become a father for the first time with his partner Kirsty.
The 30 year old actor excitedly broke the news on his social media at the end of January, posting an adorable photo of Kirsty lovingly holding her baby bump, dressed in a snug white top and a flowing skirt, complete with a 'Mummy to be' sash during their baby shower held at a charming venue.
"Can't wait to meet liccle baby boy!! " he captioned the image, accompanied by heart emojis. On January 28, Asan updated his followers with another snapshot taken by his girlfriend from her hospital bed, where she was undergoing some tests, while he rested his head on her thigh.

He humorously noted: "Getting ready for the sleepless nights."
The couple's fans were quick to express their joy, with one user exclaiming: "Ahhhhh I can't wait for the baba to come," and another sending their excitement: "So exciting! Sending you so so much love."
Another fan added: "Ah amazing! you guys will be brilliant! Sending lots of love from all of us.", reports the Mirror.
In early February, Kirsty shared glimpses of the nursery they've prepared for their little one on her own page. While it's not clear when the couple began dating, Kirsty has been appearing in Asan's social media posts since the summer of 2023.
The actor famed for playing Ellis Chapman on the renowned soap was involved in a scandal following a heated encounter with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at the 2019 TV Choice Awards which led to his sacking four years ago. The incident's video showed Asan in a fierce argument, where he was heard saying: "Do you think you are a f***ing big man? I'm going to f***ing kill you. I'm going to f*****g knife you."

Asan issued an apology for his conduct through a statement that read: "My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character. I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected, especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards. I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this."
ITV also commented on the fray with a spokesperson stating: "Emmerdale suspended Asan N'Jie pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel."
They added: "ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence Asan's contract has been terminated with immediate effect."
