Emmerdale star Rebecca Parker, who plays Manpreet Sharma in the ITV soap, has opened up about her character's upcoming blackmailer storyline ahead of an hour-long episode tonight
The actress who plays Emmerdale's Manpreet Sharma spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets on ITV's Lorraine before tonight's (Tuesday, March 18) explosive and extended episode that promises to reveal the identity of her menacing blackmailer.
The character's life has been turned upside down as an anonymous person discovered her Only Fans-style page with racy content and started sending her with vile messages.
Even after Manpreet shut down her account, the tormentor is hell-bent on wrecking not just her peace but also threatening to derail her career in medicine with preserved screenshots from the now-deactivated site.
As the gripping storyline nears its climax, actress Rebecca Parker, who plays Manpreet, appeared on Lorraine to share some juicy insights without revealing too much.

Engaging in a light-hearted moment about her character's wardrobe choices, she responded jovially to Lorraine's curiosity: "Is it true she (Manpreet) has to wear high heels all the time?" Swapping roles, Rebecca said with a grin, "Well, Rebecca has to wear heels all the time," playfully referring to herself, reports Leeds Live.
She opened up during the chat, dubbing it her blue M&M moment, "I like heels Lorraine." The host persisted, sensing potential podiatric distress, "But do your feet not get sore?"
The actress didn't miss a beat, retorting: "Nope, I'm used to it. I think my feet are conditioned."
Lorraine couldn't help but throw in a light-hearted comment about how Rebecca's feet must have forgotten what it's like to be flat on the ground, but couldn't resist admiring her shoes: "They are cracking though aren't they?"

Rebecca also discussed the trepidation she felt when confronted with the storyline in Emmerdale, recalling how she had a burning question for the producers once she read the script.
The ITV favourite was instructed to dive deep into background research, drawing from past cases and consulting with actual victims to bring authenticity to her portrayal.
She revealed to Lorraine that amidst her prep, there was one concern dominating her thoughts - she went straight to the bosses with the query: "Will there be any photos shown on Emmerdale?"
A wave of relief washed over her after being assured by the producers, who responded: "Unfortunately, not."
