Eric Bischoff Believes Hulk Hogan Being Booed At WWE Raw Was A ‘One-Off’
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently commented on Hulk Hogan beeing booed out of the building during WWE Raw's Netflix debut.
Monday Night Raw made history on January 6th when it made its debut on Netflix. Several legends made an appearance on the show. One such legend was WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. When he showed up along with Jimmy Hart, Hogan received thunderous boos. The WWE Universe booed him until his segment was over. Recently, Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts on the segment.
While speaking on a recent episode of the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff mentioned that it does not matter if Hogan is cheered or booed. He feels that either one is fine as at the end of the day he is drawing large crowds.
“It’s just another one of those things where people are going to fall down on one or the other side of the fence, depending on what their pre-determined perspectives already are,” Bischoff said. “Debating it doesn’t really matter but he’s drawing massive crowds everywhere else. He’s out promoting his beer and thousands of people are standing outside in the cold waiting for an opportunity to meet him.”
Bischoff is also convinced that the booing was a one-off thing.
“I think that was a one-off. I’m convinced of it. Anybody that hasn’t spent any real time in LA and in the working environment, you don’t realize how oppressive, overwhelmingly liberal — and I’m not saying it’s good or bad, I’m not taking sides, it just is what it is folks, and that large segment of LA, their politics have become their religion, and they get really, really invested. So, I’m convinced that was it,” Bischoff remarked. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
Bischoff doesn’t seem surprised that Los Angeles booed Hogan. Mark Henry wasn’t either, but his lack of surprise came for a different reason.
