FBI Seen at Ben Affleck's Home in Pacific Palisades
FBI seen outside the home of actor Ben Affleck amid the raging wildfires in the Pacific Palisades — and there's a good reason.
The FBI was seen at Ben Affleck’s California home over the weekend — but there’s a perfectly good explanation.
According to Page Six, officials were conducting searches in Affleck’s neighborhood related to the Palisades fire.
“Members of the FBI‘s Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire relative to unauthorized drone activity,” read a press release sent to Page Six. “Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at various residences, for this reason,” the release continued.
Affleck had returned to his home in the Pacific Palisades to check on things after he evacuated due to wildfires in the area. Fortunately, his home hadn’t suffered any major damage from the raging inferno.
“Ben’s home is still under evacuation order, but he feels so grateful his property is safe for the time being,” a source told Page Six.

While it doesn’t appear as though Affleck is in any sort of trouble, FBI agents did question him, according to a source.
Page Six reported that agents were asking Affleck to review CCTV footage from security cameras that he has set up around his home. As it turns out, someone was flying a drone that interfered with an aircraft aiding in the wildfire efforts.
A source told the outlet that the “private drone … damaged a super scooper, one of the firefighting aircrafts.”
Meanwhile, TMZ confirmed that Affleck’s visit from the FBI was official business and nothing personal. The outlet also reported that Affleck’s home is not yet 100% in the clear from the nearby fires.

When Affleck fled his Brentwood neighborhood home, he went to stay with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, according to TMZ.
The former couple, who shares three kids together, don’t live far from one another, but Garner’s neighborhood had not been under an evacuation order at that time, making it a safe place for Affleck to go.
The wildfires have been especially hard for Garner, who has watched as some of her dearest friends lost their homes and everything inside. Moreover, she shared that she actually lost a friend to the fires.
“I did lose a friend and for our church it’s really tender. I don’t feel like I should talk about her yet. But yeah, I did lose a friend who did not get out in time,” Garner said in an interview with MSNBC.
“I feel almost guilty walking through my house,” she continued, adding that she was doing her best to offer help to those who need it.
