The legal drama between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively skyrockets with a countersuit that has fans debating the truth. The It Ends With Us co-stars have been at odds since last year, long before the actress’s scathing allegations. Their rift became evident during the movie’s promotion, months before Lively dropped her sexual harassment and smear campaign claims.
She controlled the narrative throughout the latter part of 2024, with Baldoni simply refuting the allegations through his lawyers. However, his days of silence are over as he recently filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively’s corner. He named the actress, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, as defendants in the federal suit.
Baldoni accused Lively of attempting to make him “the real-life villain in her story” to deflect her bad publicity. Fans had labeled her “tone deaf” for advertising her haircare and alcohol line while promoting the domestic violence movie. However, the issues between the co-stars, per the countersuit, started in 2023 with the Green Lantern actress’s “takeover strategy.”
The Jane the Virgin star claimed they battled for creative control, with Lively rewriting a key rooftop scene. He recalled being invited to her NYC penthouse to discuss the rewrite, noting he was more of an ambush. Reynolds allegedly praised his wife for the new scene, with her pal Taylor Swift echoing similar sentiments.
Baldoni felt ganged up on and understood that he needed to let Lively have her way. He shared the texts they exchanged later that night, where the actress described Reynolds and Swift as her dragons. The Game Of Thrones reference obtained by TMZ read:
“I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons … we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”

He claimed they clashed over her character’s wardrobe because she wanted rich and sexy. However, he refused, as her role was that of a struggling small business owner.
Lively allegedly did not read the book the movie was based on while they were working on the script. “She even tried to Google the color of her character’s hair rather than pick up the book,” Baldoni claimed. Despite accepting most of her demands, he noted she threatened to torpedo the movie unless her version was released.
Additionally, Baldoni argued that Lively and her publicist launched a campaign to blame him and paint her as the martyr. His claims sparked more speculations about the case on X, with someone declaring, “There is more to the story.” Another agreed, noting there were more details to be uncovered, while a third lamented the growing legal drama.
A fan debated the truth about Baldoni and Lively’s allegations, writing, “I was totally on the pro-Blake side… But as more and more of this comes out, this doesn’t look good for her.” Meanwhile, others sat on the fence about who was right, with someone noting the situation looked bad for everyone.
We previously covered that Lively’s scathing allegations had done a number on Baldoni’s image. Last December, Elizabeth Day stopped the actor’s appearance on her How To Fail podcast from airing. She stood on the alleged victim’s side, stressing that “every form of abuse should be called out.”

 2024 Reveals Star-Studded Lineup Of MCs And Presenters The 32nd annual Hanteo Music Awards (HMA) has revealed its MC and presenter lineup for this year’s ceremony!
On January 16, Hanteo Global announced that Jung Jinyoung and (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon will serve as the main hosts.
Jung Jinyoung, a versatile singer, actor, and producer, will be joined by Miyeon, who earned praise for her steady hosting on Mnet's “M Countdown,” where she became the longest-serving MC in the show's history.
In addition to the MC announcement, the first presenters for the ceremony have been revealed. The lineup includes Jang Woo Hyuk of H.O.T., Hwanhee from Fly to the Sky, Kim Yong Jun of SG Wannabe, and JeA from Brown Eyed Girls. Musical actress Jeong Sun Ah, praised for her dubbing in “Wicked,” rounds out the list. These presenters continue the HMA tradition of having singers present awards to fellow singers.
The Hanteo Music Awards (HMA) 2024 will take place on February 15 and 16 at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul.
