Fast 11 will conclude the long-running series, but will have a hard time topping the best ending of the Fast & Furious franchise. The Fast & Furious franchise began with 2001's The Fast and the Furious, which saw Brian O'Conner infiltrate Dominic Toretto's group as an undercover cop. Even though they were on opposite sides of the law in the first Fast & Furious movie, Dom and Brian formed a special bond. The duo finally reunited in the fourth Fast & Furious movie. From there, every film in the franchise focused on their partnership as they led their crew.

However, Paul Walker, who played Brian, tragically passed away in 2013. He had already filmed many of his scenes for Furious 7, but his passing meant that the seventh entry would have to be Brian's last movie in the series. While Walker died in real life, Brian remains alive in the world of Fast & Furious, which means that the upcoming Fast 11 will have the difficult task of honoring the longtime friendship between Dom and Brian. Since Fast 11 is the last film in the franchise, it will have a hard time besting the perfect ending of Furious 7.

Fast & Furious 11’s Final Scene Might Not Top Furious 7’s Perfect EndingDom & Brian Drive Down Separate Roads At The End Of Furious 7

Brian went on quite the arc throughout the Fast & Furious franchise. He started the series as a police officer before fully joining Dom's crew and becoming a wanted criminal. Even though Brian, Dom, and their crew were officially pardoned after helping Hobbs in Fast & Furious 6, the life they lived was still incredibly dangerous. Therefore, at the end of Furious 7, Brian made the decision to retire and live a peaceful life with his family. At this point in the series, he was a husband and a father, so it made sense for him to move on.

However, after everything Brian and Dom had been through together, it was extremely emotional seeing them go their separate ways at the end of Furious 7. In the world of Fast & Furious, Dom and Brian still remain in touch. However, Furious 7's final scene was very much a farewell to Paul Walker. As Dom and Brian split up and continue down separate roads, audiences get a chance to say goodbye to Walker. This ending is without a doubt the most effective and emotional ending of any Fast & Furious movie.

Furious 7’s Bittersweet Final Scene Could’ve Been The End Of The FranchiseThe Fast & Furious Franchise Continued Without Paul Walker

The ending of Furious 7 also would have worked as a perfect ending for the entire franchise. All the members of the crew were pardoned for their crimes and could have also gone on to live peaceful lives, just like Brian. Therefore, Furious 7's ending is arguably the happiest ending the Fast & Furious franchise could ever have. However, the decision was made to continue the Fast & Furious franchise without Walker, and focus on Dom and the rest of the crew.

Whether Fast & Furious 11 will be the franchise’s final installment remains to be seen, yet a bold Dominic Toretto theory may explain why it could be.

Even though every movie since has been entertaining, Brian was such an important Fast & Furious character, so his absence has been felt. Since Furious 7 provided such an emotional ending to Dom and Brian's friendship, it's hard to imagine that Fast 11 can replicate the success of this scene. The Fast & Furious movies that have come out after Furious 7 have further developed Dom and the members of his crew. Therefore, the ending of Fast 11 can focus on the other characters in the series. However, it seems almost impossible that it can top Furious 7's ending.

Fast & Furious 11’s Ending Doesn’t Need To Be “Better” Than Furious 7’sFast 11's Ending Doesn't Need To Compete With Furious 7

The fact that Fast 11 might not be able to top Furious 7's ending shouldn't necessarily be seen as a bad thing, though. The meaning of Furious 7's ending extends beyond the story of the movie. Furious 7's ending works so well because of how much audiences admired the work of Walker. Therefore, no matter what route the ending of Fast 11 takes, it will never be able to be as emotional as Furious 7's ending. In fact, it would be a mistake for Fast 11 to set the goal of providing a more emotional ending than Furious 7.

Fast 11 should give fans a happy ending featuring the rest of the characters in the series.

While Furious 7 provided a conclusion for Dom and Brian's friendship, the ending of Fast 11 can provide fans with an emotional scene involving the rest of the crew. Dom and Brian's bond was undoubtedly the best part of the Fast & Furious franchise, but this does not mean that there aren't many other amazing characters in the series, as well. Depending on who survived the cliffhanger ending of Fast X and who will survive the events of the final film, Fast 11 should give fans a happy ending featuring the rest of the characters in the series.

How Should Fast & Furious 11 End?Fast 11 Needs To End With All The Characters Together

An obvious way to end Fast 11 would be to have all the characters gathered together for a barbeque. Multiple Fast & Furious movies have ended like this. The ending of F9 actually featured Brian pulling up to one of these barbeques in his recognizable blue car. However, since so many movies in the franchise have ended like this, it would be underwhelming if Fast 11's final scene also included a massive barbeque for the crew. With that being said, the entire crew should be together for the ending of Fast 11.

Therefore, instead of gathering for a barbeque as the film cuts to black, perhaps the ending of Fast 11 could show the characters going for a joyride after their meal. At the end of Furious 7, both Dom and Brian drive off into the sunset. Therefore, the end of Fast 11 could feature Dom, Brian, and all the other characters in the Fast & Furious franchise driving into the sunset. This would probably be the best way to end the long-running franchise, since it gives all the Fast & Furious characters a chance to have one last ride together.
