Bruno Fernandes 'had words' with Everton legend Derek Mountfield after he mimicked elbowing Manchester United players on Saturday, it has been claimed.
The Red Devils and Everton played out a dramatic 2-2 draw at Goodison Park with United fighting back through second half goals from Fernandes and Ugarte after going in two goals down at the break.
It seems things got heated shortly after the half-time interval, though, with a new report outlining how Fernandes took exception to a joke from Mountfield.
The Telegraph claim the Manchester United captain was not happy with the Toffees legend, who it's alleged had playfully pretended to elbow Fernandes' team-mates near the side of the pitch just before the second half, with the pair having words.
Mirror Football have contacted Manchester United for comment on the incident.
Fernandes enjoyed a fine second half and it was his smart free-kick that started United's fightback. Ugarte then picked the perfect moment to bag his first goal since joining the Red Devils to ensure a share of the spoils.
While United did end up leaving Merseyside with a point, it could have been a very different ending after referee, Andy Madley, awarded Everton a penalty in stoppage-time.
But after a lengthy VAR delay, Madley reversed his decision after being told to review the call on the pitchside monitors at Goodison Park.

While the decision to overturn Everton's late penalty was debated by fans and pundits alike, Fernandes had no doubt that the officials made the right call.
He told TNT Sports: âNo, no. The referee said the angle was very close from the body so it's nothing to do with that. We have to do much more, me first. Everyone has to lift standards of each other and end the season in the best way possible.
âWe had our chances second half but we started late. We didn't have enough movement. We need to start the games better. Every time we concede a goal and we are down is when we start playing and taking risks.â
United stay 15th in the table after Saturday's draw, a point and a place behind Everton, who have been in resurgent form since David Moves returned to Goodison Park.
