Final episode of Call The Midwife leaves viewers in tears
The Call The Midwife series 14 finale aired on Sunday (March 2) evening and viewers were left in tears as Nancy Corrigan's wedding was faced with an unexpected turn.

Fans of Call the Midwife were left emotional as the series concluded. The BBC period drama, which returned earlier this year with its 14th instalment, continued to chronicle the lives of midwives in East London during the '70s.
Sunday's episode (March 2) saw the return of Nancy Corrigan after a long absence, as she prepared for her wedding to salesman Roger. However, an unexpected twist awaited on her big day.

During a final fitting with Violet, Nancy dropped a bombshell - she was seven months pregnant and had chosen not to tell anyone. The drama escalated when the baby decided to make an early entrance.
Nancy went into labour, leading Nurse Crane to call for an ambulance. However, they didn't reach the hospital in time.

In the ambulance, Roger supported Nancy as she gave birth to a baby girl, whom they named Melinda, reports the Mirror.
Despite the premature arrival of their daughter, Nancy and Roger's wedding proceeded as planned. Despite the rain, their special day went smoothly as friends and family gathered to celebrate the couple's union.

Following the climactic close of the series, devotees were quick to flock to social media with reactions.
