Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid was left fighting back tears as an Auschwitz survivor detailed the last time she saw her family.
To mark the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz's liberation, Susanna and her co-host Richard Madeley spoke to Rachel Levy, who was one of the survivors of the Jewish death camp.
While she was in the queue for the gas chamber with her friend, Rachel was able to run away during a "commotion". Rachel went on to recall the moment she was separated from her mother and siblings after they arrived at Auschwitz by train.
"When we first arrived at Auschwitz, they threw us out of the carriages and they were waiting to count us. I saw my mother being pushed to the right, and my older brother to the left, and we watched her walk away with a baby in her arms and my two little sisters. That's all I knew then," she explained, while an emotional Susanna looked on.
