Taken aback by their colleague's success, Richard remarked: "It's an extraordinary thing, up until recently-" only for Susanna to interject with surprise: "None of us knew!"
The ITV squad were unaware of Kate's culinary prowess which she so skillfully displayed on the Channel 4 competition, reports the Manchester Evening News.
But it wasn't just her baking that left them stunned; they were equally amazed to learn about another of Kate's hidden abilities.

Moving on, it appears Kate isn't the lone Good Morning Britain personality with a knack for baking, as they also pointed out that Ed Balls is rather handy in the kitchen too.
He admitted that Kate's Bake Off victory means he can relax a bit when it comes to contributing desserts.
