GMB star addresses ITV absence as they admit 'I can hardly move'
Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls was back on the ITV show on Monday, but the former MP admitted he was in a lot of pain.

Viewers of Good Morning Britain were treated to Ed Balls's comeback on the ITV show during Monday's episode.
The 58-year-old presenter had been absent from the ITV programme for a week, and he explained his absence at the start of the show.

But he also admitted that he was feeling sore due to an activity he engaged in over the weekend.

His co-star Susanna Reid couldn't help but comment on his tanned look, saying: "Somebody got some warm weather over the weekend!"
To which Ed responded: "They did! It looks like I've been on some exotic beach.
"But actually, to be honest, it was the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Poole. I was on a sailing boat last week, and it was very sunny, it turned out. I think all the rays were reflecting off of the water."
Article continues belowDespite slathering on sunscreen, Susanna teased that Ed still managed to return to the studio with a sunkissed glow, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Ed went on to say: "I also played football on Saturday and I'm in immense pain, I can hardly move having played this football match. So, sunkissed but a bit stiff."

In another segment, Susanna brought up Ed's infamous gaffe from 14 years ago, now celebrated as Ed Balls Day.
On April 28, 2011, while serving as shadow chancellor, Ed accidentally tweeted his own name instead of searching for it, leading to an annual commemoration of the mishap on Twitter known as 'Ed Balls Day'.

Susanna greeted him with: "Before we crack on, let me just say, Happy Ed Balls Day!"
To which Ed amusingly responded: "Oh my gosh, well, and happy GMB day."

The presenters of Good Morning Britain shared with their audience that the show was celebrating its 11th anniversary, a moment made even more special as Ed pointed out that his namesake day has been around longer than the programme.
On Twitter, fans joined in the festivities, with one user posting: "Happy Ed Balls day to all those who celebrate! Seems to come round quicker every year!"
Another chimed in with: "Happy 15th Ed Balls Day to all who celebrate." Meanwhile, another tweet read: "Happy Ed Balls Day! Celebrate modestly."
