Garcelle Beauvais is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She joined the Bravo show in 2020 for its 10th season and was the first Black Housewife on RHOBH.Â
âIâve decided to leave Beverly Hills. Itâs been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but itâs been a ride nevertheless,â Beauvais said in a video she shared on Instagram on March 25.Â
Beauvais said a desire to spend more time with her family was behind her decision to quit RHOBH.Â
âMy boys â their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jaid is starting a new [modeling] career, and I want to be a part of that too,â she said.Â
She also teased that sheâs working on some âexcitingâ new acting and producing projects, though she couldnât share any specific updates. In addition to RHOBH, Beauvais has appeared in movies and TV shows like Models Inc., Flight, White House Down, NYPD Blue, and Franklin & Bash and co-hosted The Real from 2020 to 2022.Â

While Beauvais is departing Real Housewives, she might not be gone for good. She said that producer Andy Cohen made it clear that heâd be open to her rejoining the cast in the future.Â
âAndy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know I might pop back in some time,â she said.Â
âAn incredible run from an incredible human. BRAVO,â Cohen commented on Beauvaisâ post.Â
Jennifer Tilly, who joined the RHOBH cast as a friend this season, also commented, saying she and the rest of the women would âreally missâ Beauvais. âYou brought so much integrity and warmth and humor to the franchise,â she added.Â
In her message, Beauvais also thanked the showâs fans for supporting her over the year.Â
âTo the fans, I want to say, thank you so much,â she said. âYou guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me. Itâs not goodbye, itâs see you later.â
