Gino D'Acampo's wildest TV moments from cooking to creepy kiss
Gino D'Acampo has been dropped by ITV following claims of alleged "distressing" and "sexually inappropriate" behaviour. Here we look at some of his most shocking TV moments
From the moment he arrived on TV screens in the Noughties, Italian chef Gino D'Acampo has prized himself on being outrageous.
He's even joked about being "the most censored man on TV" and for almost 20 years he's got away with shocking comments, some of which could be forgiven on the basis that English isn't his first language.
But now the 48-year-old has been dropped from ITV for alleged "distressing" and "sexually inappropriate" behaviour from dozens of people who worked with him over the past 15 years - which he firmly denies - his antics are starting to be seen in a different light by many.
In one of the most notable allegations, one woman, who has been named as Hannah to protect her identity, told an investigation that she was on the receiving end of vulgar comments from Gino in 2011. She claims Gino said he would "like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter."
Another former colleague, who was a runner at the time, claimed Gino once told him: "If you donât get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend." People are said to have been fearful of any consequences if they ever spoke out about their alleged encounters. In a statement via his lawyers, Gino "categorically denied these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour" earlier this week.
As ITV ditch upcoming episodes of Family Fortunes and Gino's Italy: Secrets of the South, we look at some of Gino's most shocking TV moments, from cooking in the buff on This Morning to a creepy kiss on Loose Women.

This Morning)Stripping off on This MorningBack in 2011 Gino caused a stir when he stripped off to film a cooking segment on This Morning totally starkers - after vowing to do it if the ITV show won a National Television Award, which they did.
Donning a skimpy apron, he turned to the sink to reveal his bare bum cheeks, which he then proceeded to twitch them at the cameras. But former host Holly Willoughby noted he wasn't quite naked. Her ex co-star Philip Schofield then exclaimed: "Ah he's got a thing on!"
The 'thing' turned out to be a knitted sock that covered his manhood. Taking it off and holding it up to viewers to see, Gino had the studio in hysterics as he said: "Somebody knitted it for me. I thought it was quite cute." Before carrying on with the cooking, Phil said: "Throw it away, away from the food!" before demanding Gino "wash your hands now!"
X-rated remark to Fearne CottonWhen Gino was a regular on Celebrity Juice, he once made a vile sex remark to fellow celebrity Fearne Cotton during an episode that later aired on ITV. Fearne's face was compared to a pizza that had olives for eyes, pineapple rings for a nose and red pepper for its mouth. Host Keith Lemon said: "Look at the likeness!"
However, it prompted Gino to make a comment about Fearne that even appeared to shock Keith. He said: "I have a theory and I'm sorry, you know how much I like you, right, but I think when you have big nostrils, actually you can suck like f***." Fearne was visibly shocked as Keith also put a hand over his mouth.
Gino then dug a bigger hole for himself as he continued: "Because you can breathe easier." Putting him in his place, classy Fearne stopped him saying anything further telling him: "You donât need to elaborate." Gino tried to reassure Fearne that his comment was a "compliment", to which the broadcaster sarcastically replied: "Thank you."

ITV)'Up the fluff'Gino can be forgiven for making a few mistakes when it comes to his English, as it's not his first language. But one of his biggest faux pas on live TV was when he mistakenly referred to a pregnant Holly Willoughby as being "up the fluff".
As her pregnancy affected her sense of smell, it also put her off eating certain things. During a This Morning segment where Gino was cooking pancakes, he asked Holly: "Can you eat this one?" "Yes," she replied, and Gino remarked: "I am asking because, 'I can't do this, I can't do that, I can't do the other'. Seriously, since you've been up the fluff or whatever it's called, it's been.. how do you say again? We had this conversation this morning, you've been a nightmare to cook with."
Collapsing in hysterics, Holly corrected him and said: "I think you mean up the duff." Another time, Gino was trying to think of the expression again, and said: "I was going to say up the muff!" "No!" exclaimed Holly, holding up her hands and looking horrified as she apologised profusely to viewers.
Making Holly and Phil chokeIn one of Gino's most memorable TV moments - which sparked him becoming a meme - he almost made This Morning hosts Holly and Phil choke when he took issue with Holly pointing out that the Italian pasta dish he was making would be closer to a British carbonara if it had ham in it.
Though the comment doesn't sound that bad, it irked Gino so much that he erupted into a rant just as Holly and Phil had put some food in their mouths. He infamously told Holly: "And if my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike!"
Both got the giggles so bad they almost choked on the food as they ducked out of view behind the kitchen counter and wiped away tears of laughter, leaving Gino wondering what he had said.

ITV)'Sausage in a hole'In another This Morning cooking segment, Gino had Phil and Holly in fits of giggles again when he showed them his dish to "please your husband with 'Sausage In The Hole.'"
As Holly called it by its traditional name 'Toad In The Hole', Gino said: "First of all, this is not Toad In The Hole, this is Sausage In The Hole." Phil asked: âWhat makes it a Sausage In the Hole?â
Gino replied: "It's thicker, it's tastier and it's got fennel, it's my interpretation of a Toad in a Hole." He then creepily added: "When you go home and ask your wife, 'What you do want?' she says, 'I want a sausage in the hole.'"
'Playing with Holly's genitals'In November 2021, Gino made an inappropriate comment on the daytime show as he spoke about Italian geography while explaining where the ingredients for Tiramisu come from.
Using Holly's body as a 'map' he pointed to her shoulder and said: "In the Belmonte region, here is where the Savoiardi biscuit comes from." He then moved to her chest before Phil quipped: "I'm really concerned if he's going to talk about Sicily," to which Gino replied: "No, Sicily's all the way down there!"
Continuing the 'geography lesson', he told Holly: "But your belly button - I was born in Naples, which is on your side, but I went to school, where the Vesuvius is. So, it's more inland, so... er, I can technically say that I spent my youth training and playing around your vagina." A visibly shocked Holly exclaimed: "Oh my God!" as Phil turned to the camera and said: "Morning Ofcom."

ITV)Phil tells Gino 'you've gone too far'In a throwback clip from This Morning in 2013, Gino seems to upset co-star Phil with a saucy remark about 'tough meat' and 'making love to your wife', leading the host to chastise the Italian live on air.
The footage shows Phillip jovially saying: "We do not want tense meat" as he stirs a sauce. Gino is seen agreeing, telling the pair: "We don't want that because tense meat, it becomes tough meat. Right?" Addressing the camera, Phil affirmed: "Tense meat is a friend to no one."
Standing next to Holly, Gino then added: "No seriously, tense meat it comes a tough meat. That's why you should never annoy your wife before you make love. You want her to be nice and soft." After Gino's sexually explicit statement, Holly raised an eyebrow but chose not to comment, but Phillip appeared annoyed. Turning to Gino, his expression hardened as he declared: "Now you've gone too far. That's too far." As Gino insisted he was innocent, Phillip sharply retorted: "That's a step too far."
Creepy kissesDuring an appearance on ITV's Loose Women in October 2016, Gino gave an interview that was filled with various sexual innuendos. Then after saying he wanted to "unleash himself", he shocked an audience member by grabbing a random woman's face and kissing her on live TV.
And it's not the first time he's kissed women on the telly when he shouldn't have. In a recent appearance on the show in December 2024 to promote his new cookbook, Loose Women hosts Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks and Kelly Holmes were left taken back as Gino made an 'awkward' remark about an on-screen 'kiss rule.'
Though he had been warned not to do it, just seconds after appearing on the panel, Gino went around a gave each of the presenters a kiss on the cheek. He went on to reveal: "They told me 'please donât kiss the ladies on the table,' but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies. The rules are rubbish." Though the panellists laughed off the remark, Kelly turned to Gino and joked: "Well I think you've just got fired." Everyone burst out laughing as a baffled Gino questioned: "What, for a kiss?"
In relation to the allegations made earlier this week, DâAcampoâs legal team shared a statement from him to ITV News, saying: "I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone.
"This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me. Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.
"I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting."
His legal team said he "categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour" and added âto his knowledge no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on Ginoâs Italian Expressâ, and said he considers the allegations âto be a fabricated work of fictionâ.
