Glasgow actress joins popular play based on Jane Austen classic
A Glasgow actress is set to join a popular play based on a Jane Austen classic.
Eleanor Kane, known for her roles in plays like Fun Home, Hex and Duchess of Malfi, will play Anne de Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice*(*Sort Of).Â
(Image: Images supplied.) The production, directed and written by Isobel McArthur – a graduate of the University of Glasgow and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - will be coming to the Theatre Royal in the city centre between Monday and Saturday, March 3 and 8.Â
The play is a unique re-telling of Jane Austen’s classic love story and features a string of pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and You’re So Vain.Â

Other actors included in the play are Christine Steel (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Clara, Jane Bennet, and Lady Catherine de Burgh, Emma Rose Creaner (Peter Pan) as Tillie, Charlotte Lucas, Charles Bingley and Miss Bingley.
Also starring is Rhianna McGreevy (The Winter’s Tale) as Flo, Mrs Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy and Naomi Preston Low (Further Than the Furthest Thing and The Wind and The Rain) as Effie and Elizabeth Bennet.Â
