Harrison Ford says Red Hulk character in Captain America ânot quite a villainâ
The veteran actor plays US president Thaddeus Ross in the movie, who transforms into the giant red monster.

Harrison Ford has said his character in the new Captain America film should not be described as a âvillainâ, adding that the Red Hulk is a âcomplicated personâ.
The Star Wars actor, 82, plays US president Thaddeus Ross in the movie, taking over from William Hurt, who died in 2022 at the age of 71.
In a special look at Captain America: Brave New World, Ford can be seen portraying the president who transforms into the giant red monster behind the presidential lectern in front of the White House.
Thaddeus Ross has featured in other Marvel films but this is the first time he is seen turning into the Red Hulk.
Speaking about his character, Ford told the PA news agency: âWell, heâs a complicated person, and I donât think we should quite describe him as a villain, but I think as the story unwinds you find different aspects of his character that may be of interest.
âAnd he turns into the Hulk, so thereâs a complication in his life.â
He added: âItâs good to have characters that have a substance and a point of view and I think we have a bunch of very interesting characters in this film.â
Speaking about what it was like to see himself âhulked upâ, he said: âIâve never seen myself that way before, but it was interesting, it was fun.â
In the film, Sam Wilson, (Anthony Mackie) who has taken up the mantle of Captain America, finds himself in the middle of an international incident after meeting the newly elected president, played by Ford.

Mackie previously played superhero The Falcon in the Captain America films, which starred Chris Evans in the lead role.
He told PA: âThe fun part about it was not so much about becoming Captain America but doing it with all of my friends and colleagues from the beginning.
âThese movies are a lot like summer camp. People become your family.
âAnd being in, now, nine of these movies, the same props guy from the first movie was my props guy on this movie, my dresser on the first movie was my dresser on this movie.
âSo it is just the evolution of, Iâm just really proud of the evolution of the character and everybody seeing Sam for who he is.â
Marvel Studiosâ Captain America: Brave New World is in cinemas from February 14.
Among the new items in the superseding indictment include an allegation that Combs “dangled a victim over an apartment balcony,” it said.
