Harry and Meghan dubbed 'disaster tourists' after 'repulsive LA fires photo-op'
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were heavily criticised by a Hollywood celeb after their appearance in LA.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally savaged by a Hollywood actress, who labelled them "disaster tourists" following their appearance at an LA food bank for those affected by the raging wildfires.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were filmed by local news outlet Fox 11 on Friday as they hugged people and spoke to emergency crews at the Pasadena Community Centre in Los Angeles. The fires have destroyed thousands of homes and killed at least 24 people in the area so far, with about 16 others still missing.
Actress Justine Bateman took to X to criticise the couple, dubbing their appearance a "repulsive photo-op".
She wrote: "Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive "photo op" they achieved. They are "touring the damage"? Are they politicians now? They don't live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists. #PalisadesFire."
It is believed the Sussexes, who live in Montecito, some 90 miles from Los Angeles, have donated clothing, children's items and other essential supplies for people affected by the fires. They are also believed to have invited friends and loved ones who had been forced to evacuate into their homes.
