Harry and Meghan set to snub Super Bowl as reason exposed
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle caused controversy when they packed on the PDA in the stands of the Invictus Games.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will likely skip the Super Bowl this year â hereâs why.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen packing on the PDA at the Invictus Games on Saturday (February 8), watching and cheering from the stands as they supported the UK team.
Meghan wore a cream blazer with her hair loose around her shoulders while Harry donned a navy blue suit for the occasion, leaning her head on her husbandâs shoulder as they both looked emotionally at the pitch.
Later, Meghan took Harryâs face in her hands and kissed him passionately in full view of the cameras as Nelly Furtado, Coldplay and Katy Perry all performed their biggest hits for an excited crowd.
This year the Games were held in Vancouver, Canada, after being founded by Harry in London in 2014.
The Super Bowl, meanwhile, is being held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, which is a six and a half hour flight from the city.
While itâs possible Harry and Megs could make it on time, itâs likely theyâd be exhausted â plus thereâs a time difference of plus two hours in New Orleans.
Itâs highly unlikely the royals would make two public appearances in such a short time, especially after they snubbed the Super Bowl last year.
Though Harry made a surprise appearance at the NFL Honours in Las Vegas in 2024, he neglected to head to the big game in favour of the Invictus ceremony. Harry had also briefly visited his father King Charles after he shared his cancer diagnosis.
People Magazine reported that Harry and Meghan had âno intentionâ of attending the game â and itâs likely theyâll do the same this year.
