Hour-by-hour forecast as Storm Eowyn set to batter the UK with 90mph gusts

Storm Éowyn will batter the UK with torrential rain, ferocious winds and heavy snow. The storm has sparked rare red and amber weather alerts and a 'danger to life' warning.
The Met Office has predicted gusts will exceed 90mph in some areas. Forecaster have also said the severe weather could result in power cuts, travel chaos and damage to buildings.
Maps from WXCharts shows 10cm of snow could fall per hour in Northern Ireland, the Mirror reports. The Midlands has a yellow weather warning, which runs from The Met Office has a yellow weather alert for wind and rain in place across the Midlands on Friday, January 24.

11pm (Thursday, January 23)
This evening, Wales and Northern Ireland will bear the brunt of Storm Éowyn. Gales will reach 51mph in Wales and 45mph in Northern Ireland. The rest of the UK will see winds average 23mph.
12am (Friday, January 24)
There will be a dramatic surge in wind intensity in coastal areas from midnight. According to WXCharts, Northern Ireland will also see 10cm of snow per hour from then.
1am(Friday, January 24)
By 1am, the majority of the UK will be battling strong winds. In the West Midlands, wind gusts will average around 35mph.
2am(Friday, January 24)
The West Midlands will see stronger winds averaging 43mph by this point.
3am(Friday, January 24)
As the night goes on, the wind will intensify. Pembroke will hit 71mph, and other coastal areas will follow suit.
4am(Friday, January 24)
No areas will be spared by 4am. Storm Éowyn will bring gusts of 70mph in some areas, including Pembroke, Plymouth, Londonderry and Belfast.
5am onwards(Friday, January 24)
From 5am to 9am, the strongest winds will hit the country. By this point, winds will have calmed slightly in the southeast, where temperatures will also hover between 7C and 9C.
The Met Office said: "Storm Éowyn will move across the northwest of the UK on Friday, clearing to the northeast on Friday night. This will bring a spell of very strong west to southwesterly winds, with peak gusts of 60-70mph fairly widely inland, 70-80mph in some areas, and 80-90mph along more exposed coasts and hills (perhaps even higher in a few locations)."
