A documentary that dives into Sean Combs's early life and includes exclusive interviews with those who knew the rapper best has been released.
Titled Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, the 90-minute film launches on Comcast channel Peacock TV on January 14 and looks into Combs’s early years and his upbringing, and interviews those considered closest to him, such as a bodyguard and childhood friends. It features never-before-seen footage and touches on the subject of his infamous parties.
Here is all we know.
What is the documentary about?
It is the first of two documentaries about the fallen rapper and will offer "crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster", say the makers.
The documentary will feature interviews with friends, collaborators and a former bodyguard, plus "exclusive, never-before-seen footage" of Combs at home, in the studio and out partying.
It starts by looking at his his childhood in Mount Vernon, an outer suburb of New York City. One claim is that his mother threw wild parties that he was exposed to at a young age and, as a childhood friend recollects: “This is what we were exposed to … and it desensitised us in ways we didn’t even realise. It was just another Saturday night.”
However, P Diddy’s lawyers said the documentary is filled with "unchecked claims and provide platforms for baseless conspiracy theories".
How long is Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy?
This documentary is one standalone film that lasts 90 minutes.
Where can I watch it?
