Both sides have endured disappointing domestic campaigns to say the least. Spurs are languishing in 16th place - two spots above the relegation zone as things stand - after a bitterly poor season.
Boss Ange Postecoglou is under immense pressure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and faces a battle to keep his job this summer.
The Saints are faring even worse and sit rock bottom of the Premier League, having only amassed 10 points so far this term. They are, for all intents and purposes, already down.
Here is everything you need to know about today's clash in north London.
What time does Spurs v Saints kick off?Kick-off is at 2pm.
Is the game on TV?Alas, no. The game has not been picked for live coverage this afternoon. The match is one of three games kicking off at 2pm on Sunday alongside Brentford v Chelsea and Fulham vs Liverpool. Sky Sports have elected to show the latter.
Fortunately, starting next season, this will no longer be an issue for fans as the Premier League’s new TV deal guarantees that all matches that aren’t scheduled for a 3pm Saturday kick-off will be shown live.
So, where can you catch Spurs vs Saints?Unless you have a ticket to the stadium, UK fans won’t be able to watch along live. But international viewers can tune in via their local Premier League TV rights holders.
Viewers in the US can watch the game with NBC Universal who hold the rights to all 380 Premier League games this season.
And Australians can tune in to the game on Optus Sport. UK fans will have to wait around 20 minutes after the final whistle for Sky Sports to post their three-minute highlights on YouTube and the Sky Sports app.
A longer highlights package will be available later on in the evening or on BBC One’s Match of the Day 2 on Sunday at 10:30pm.
