Nothing says "new year, new me" as much as a day spa break. Enjoying a dip in the pool, relaxing at the hot tub or enjoying a massage or facial are great antidotes to banish the January blues.
Even better is the thought of flying abroad to enjoy a spa break, then coming back home to Britain on the same day - all for less than £100. Sounds farfetched? Not according to one eagle-eyed bargain hunter.
London-based travel blogger Sydney Marie, on TikTok as @justsydneymarie, revealed the perfect location for people desperate to enjoy a trip in Europe, with day spa pass included, then fly back home in less than 24 hours.
The Pachanga Pool Club and Spa, located inside Jacy'z Hotel and Spa in Gothenburg, Sweden is a glitzy facility that has won the attention of "extreme day trippers" - those who take trips abroad and come back home on the same day - in need of a little pampering this month.
Sydney drew up her own itinerary of her upcoming Swedish day spa getaway by breaking down the cost of her flights and spa entry. In her video, which has been viewed 160,000 times on TikTok, she revealed that her total trip cost her £79 - with return flights between Stansted Airport and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport costing £37.

She did not reveal how much the spa entry was, but a quick glance on the Pachanga website showed day passes on offer for as little as £29 - and includes a bathrobe, slippers and a towel, as well as access to the gym. The bargain price is less than gym memberships in the UK which offer sauna and steam room access.
One look at the hotel and it is easy to see why this has gained such a cult following. The glass tower with its latticed fronting offers panoramic views of Gothenburg, while the inside has a gilded, brasserie vibe.
If that wasn't enough for the day spa breakers, it's also an eight-minute cab ride away from the Nils Ericsson bus station, which runs shuttle buses direct to the airport, meaning you'll be off the plane and in the spa in no time.
The spa is split over two levels - the pool and sauna are based on the 27th floor, complete with jaw-dropping views of the city, while the 28th floor has a bar and dance floor for those who want to party as well as be pampered.
The day pass is available in three-hour slots, which is just enough time to soak up the atmosphere as well as the pool water while giving visitors more time to explore the city - or stay at the hotel.
The only catch, however, is that treatments are not included in the price and must be booked separately. But that did not stop other TikTokers from going a step further and booking an overnight spa, stay and breakfast package - the cheapest of which was £72.
Another TikTok travel blogger @jessystriker1k revelled at how she bagged the overnight spa, stay and breakfast package for £77, while one of her followers commented: "Can we talk about how insanely good the hotel smells! Biggest regret was not buying the candles from the shop."
