In her viral video, TikTok user Sophie Marnick (@sophiemarnick) listed some of the benefits that drew her family across the channel.
She explained that they were initially spurred on when her husband, who works as a specialist engineer, was offered a job in Spain.
Sophie described the new position was an "incredible opportunity" for her husband's career and said it would be impossible for them to make the move without his hard work.
The couple and their two young sons also hope that their friends and family will be able to spend their holidays visiting them, giving them a "cheeky few days away."

According to the TikTok, the cost of living is so low in Spain compared to the UK that she was able to quit her job and become a stay at home mum.
She explained how this opportunity was "physically not possible" for her in the UK.
"I went back to work when my eldest son was just eight months old to be able to afford to live," Sophie said.
Before making the move, she described how she couldn’t wait to be "more present:" for children.

She also revealed that the weather made a "massive impact" on their decision.
The TikToker described the UK weather as "so depressing" and explained that she thinks the weather "makes such a difference to people’s happiness."

She added that living close to the beach was another bonus, sharing that they were a three-hour drive from their closest beach in the UK.
The couple shared their plans to "show and travel the world with our children."
They pointed out that if they were still living in the UK they would be more inclined to book a week in the sun but now that they can enjoy the nice weather at home, their opportunities have opened up.
Sophie also explained her excitement over being able to raise her children to be bilingual, experience other cultures, and live an outdoor lifestyle.
"The UK doesn’t offer that for our children, I am so worried about the crimes, the attitudes, and the technology of today, we have a chance to change that for them," she said.
