James and his partner Neil appeared in December with their Glasgow business Uplawmoor HotelCredit: InstagramWith a whopping 19 series produced to date, Four in a Bed has delivered explosive and toe-curling moments.
And now one star has revealed the biggest secrets behind the show - including how much they're really paid.
Unfortunately, the contributors don't receive an appearance fee despite a jam-packed filming schedule.
They also fork out when it comes to paying for their overnight stays at their competitor's business.
James and Neil both starred in the show last December with their Uplawmoor Hotel in Glasgow.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, James explained: "I had to take cash with me, they [show bosses] just give you a rough idea of how much.
"I think it was £250 or £500 or something like that. Bring that with you if that's possible."
The final part of the episode often proves the most explosive, as the payments are revealed, including underpayments.

We were on Four in a Bed - here's how long it really takes to film scenes for the Channel 4 showJames added: "You can underpay whatever you want. So we pay it out of our own pocket, the cost of the room, what we think.
"But then we get it reimbursed."
Channel 4 also pay for the meals that the contestants consume at each location - and settle the bill like an ordinary customer.
"The production company just paid the hotel. Rather than paying me, they just went up to the till basically and paid for that menu that I supplied them with."
While Uplawmoor didn't win the competition, James said he's seen an increase in bookings since his episode aired.
