ITV Lorraine crew forced to intervene after Andi Peters' on-air panic
During the broadcast of Lorraine on Tuesday (January 14), things took a turn as the crew had to intervene to save beloved host Andi Peters from a nasty accident
During Tuesday's episode (January 14) of Lorraine, the ITV team experienced quite the unexpected drama when host Andi Peters found himself in a spot of bother.
As the much-loved presenter Lorraine Kelly introduced the competition segment, she handed over to Andi, who was marooned on an oversized inflatable unicorn floating in a breathtaking infinity pool with views extending out to the Indian Ocean.
Lorraine excitedly declared, "Let's re-join our Andi, who is in the Maldives. Oh my god, Andi on a unicorn, come on. It doesn't get any better than that," as she welcomed him into the segment. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter

However, tension mounted rapidly as the unicorn float began veering worryingly towards the pool's edge, causing a startled Andi to shout out for assistance.
"Sorry, I've never gone this close to the edge, Lorraine, metaphorically and physically," he exclaimed, which led to a prompt reaction from Lorraine urging him to "be careful," as reported by the Daily Record, reports Bristol Live.

After pulling back from the precipice, a noticeably more composed Andi regained his composure, while a visibly relieved Lorraine was seen applauding the save back in the studio.
"Oh, my life! Sorry about that. I genuinely thought I was going off the edge. Right, I'm back now," Andi managed to say, as laughter ensued and he resumed presenting his piece.
Lorraine broke into laughter (Image: ITV)He then detailed the tempting prize, luring viewers with the prospect of pocketing a whopping £140,000 alongside a luxury villa getaway, boasting an infinity pool overlooking the Maldives' scenic shores.
Andi quipped: "These pools look right out onto the Indian Ocean that you could fall in if you're on a pink flamingo, but you won't because you won't be on a pink flamingo because I'm taking this one home with me and throwing it in the bin."
However, he was swiftly corrected by a crew member who highlighted his mistake - he was astride a unicorn, not a flamingo. Andi exclaimed in jest, "I don't even know my animals! I'm under so much stress right now, and there's only 10 seconds left!"
