ITV's Alison Hammond says fans can expect 'tears' as she makes career move
This Morning star Alison Hammond has teased that her new BBC show, Alison Hammond's Big Weekend, will give viewers a candid look at some of the UK's best-known stars.

BBC fans are in for a treat next month as the much-loved presenter Alison Hammond will be seen spending quality time with some of the UK's most famous faces on her new show, Alison Hammond's Big Weekend.
The 50-year-old This Morning favourite is set to offer viewers an intimate look into the lives of celebrities such as Perrie Edwards, Spice Girl's Mel B and Sir Lenny Henry.

Viewers will be invited into the homes of these stars as Alison explores their personal histories. The series kicks off on May 16 with an episode featuring Alison visiting Perrie Edwards' hometown of South Shields.

The synopsis for the show reveals: "All six celebrities open themselves up to Alison, sharing personal revelations, fun times, and the occasional tear as they show Alison the people and places that have shaped them into the stars they are today."

Article continues belowIn anticipation of the upcoming series, Alison expressed her excitement and hinted at some unexpected surprises in store for viewers, reports Wales Online.
When questioned about what the audience can expect from the six-part series, she enthusiastically responded: "Oh, babes, buckle up! Big Weekend is all about me getting celebs to have the juiciest, funniest, and sometimes most emotional chats.

"It's a full-blown experience! We're talking deep convos, belly laughs and spontaneous singalongs. From roller coasters with Mel B to ice baths with Jimmy Carr, this series is packed with surprises."
Despite the promise of laughter, Alison also revealed that there are some unexpectedly emotional moments when the celebrities open up to her.
The presenter further commented: "There's something about spending proper time with someone that makes people relax.

"We had some deep chats, some absolute screamers, and even a few tears. Turns out, a weekend with Alison Hammond is basically therapy!"
Other celebrities set to feature on the BBC show include Jimmy Carr, Tony Bellew, and Luke Evans.

Alison isn't the only This Morning presenter branching out, as her co-host Dermot O'Leary is set to host a new game show, Silence is Golden.
Airing on U and UandDave, the show offers the studio audience the chance to win ÂŁ250,000, provided they can stay silent.
With a team of famous comedians trying to make them laugh, will they manage to keep quiet and share the prize money?
