The 2024 MBC Drama Awards has unveiled its star-studded lineup of Daesang (Grand Prize) nominees!
On December 27, MBC announced the contenders for its prestigious annual award, celebrating the finest performances of the year.
First of all, Lee Ha Nee is nominated for her captivating role in “Knight Flower,” where she seamlessly blended action, comedy, and romance, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
Kim Nam Joo earned her spot for her powerful performance in “Wonderful World.” Marking her return to MBC after 13 years, her emotionally charged portrayal of a mother driven by love and vengeance showcased her unparalleled acting prowess.
Lee Je Hoon also earned a nomination for his role in “Chief Detective 1958.” Lee Je Hoon shone as the capable and witty detective Park Young Han, bringing viewers into the heart of 1958 with his immersive storytelling.
Kim Hee Sun joins the list for her compelling performance in “Bitter Sweet Hell.” As No Young Won, a top psychological counselor, Kim Hee Sun showcased her three decades of acting expertise with a role full of emotional depth.
Byun Yo Han captivated viewers in “Black Out: Snow White Must Die. Playing Go Jung Woo, a man wrongfully accused of murder, his intense and riveting performance as he seeks the truth earned him well-deserved acclaim.
Han Suk Kyu makes a grand return to MBC nearly 30 years after his debut with “Doubt.” His commanding presence and powerful acting anchored the drama, solidifying his reputation as one of the greats.
Finally, Yoo Yeon Seok rounds out the nominees with his mesmerizing performance in the hit drama “When the Phone Rings.” His portrayal of the enigmatic Baek Sa Eon has captivated viewers, with many eagerly anticipating whether his soaring popularity will translate to an award win.
The 2024 MBC Drama Awards will air on December 30 at 8:40 p.m. KST.
