Inside Andy Farrell's family life as Ireland coach to make Late Late Show debut
Andy Farrell will make his Late Late Show debut tonight as he discusses his role as British and Irish Lions Head Coach.
Andy Farrell will tonight make his Late Late Show debut as he discusses taking the British and Irish Lions job and missing out on this year's Six Nations.
Named 2023 Coach of the Year, Farrell was been rewarded for his exploits with the Lions top job. But with the honour comes missing out on coaching Ireland during this year's Six Nations with Simon Easterby in charge.
Farrell has kept a relatively low profile since taking charge of Ireland today marks his debut on Ireland's biggest talk show despite being Head Coach of the National Team for five years.
Born in 1975, Farrell took up the sport aged 10 in Wigan and spent 13 years at the Rugby League club before making the switch to Rugby Union. Farrell then played for Saracens for four years and also made eight appearances for England, including at the 2007 World Cup.
Farrell is married to Colleen O'Loughlin, the sister of Farrell's former Wigan teammate Sean O'Loughlin, and the pair have four children including England star Owen Farrell.

Owen stepped away from international duty following the 2023 World Cup and is now playing in France. He will, however, be available for the British and Irish Lions.
One point to note is that the rivalry for his children's support has been put to bed now that Owen isn't playing for England. Grandad Andy playfully tried to switch his Grandchildren's allegiances whenever Ireland played England.
When the two sides met in 2023, Grandad Andy brought Owen's sons to the Ireland captain run unbeknownst to the England kicker.
'I didnât know that, I genuinely didnât know that,' Owen laughed at the time.
âThey came over yesterday on the ferry and theyâre staying at their granddadâs house,â said Owen. âHeâs not there, theyâre staying with my mum. I assume, and I do still assume, that they will be wearing England jerseys but I see they are trying to sway him.
âTheyâre just doing as their granddadâs told them to. Theyâre staying at their granddadâs house, so I guess itâs his rules this weekend, so far.â
Andy has also gifted his grandchildren Manchester City jerseys despite Owen being an avid Manchester United fan.
Andy and wife Colleen have two daughters ,Gracie and Elleshia and youngest son Gabriel, who lives with his parents in Dublin. Andy has revealed before that Gabriel is a keen GAA player.
