NCT 127 has welcomed the new year with their fourth world tour “NEO CITY - THE MOMENTUM”!
Following the successful SMTOWN LIVE concerts the previous week, NCT 127 returned to heat up Gocheok Sky Dome once more from January 18 to 19 with unforgettable performances. With deafening cheers from fans, NCT 127 stepped on the “Gas” to kick-start their concert, greeting fans with “Faster,” “Bring the Noize,” and “2 Baddies”—setting the stage for a powerful concert that took fans’ breaths away from the start.
True to their colors, NCT 127 blended unique and experimental elements with their ever-evolving performances and upgraded vocals. “NEO CITY - THE MOMENTUM” captured attention with its dynamic moving stages and eye-catching artistic visuals.
From the set list to the visual effects and performance direction, “NEO CITY - THE MOMENTUM” delivered a cinematic concert experience.
Taking a moment to greet fans, NCT 127 welcomed NCTzens to their new tour, which kicked-off in Seoul. Doyoung remarked, “It feels like a dream to fill up this large venue.” Reflecting on the tour title, Doyoung explained, “It captures our resolve to continue to showcase cool and improved performances, mentioning how even the concert director was satisfied with the stage layouts and performances by making it look just as beautiful for fans watching from afar. Haechan wittily quipped, “It’s because we don’t show performances that aren’t cool.”
For “Designer,” NCT 127 continued to make unique use of the stage, with each member putting on a mini show at their respective place on the stage. The group continued to impress with their impeccable crowd work with “Orange Seoul” and brought on a wave of nostalgia with a heartwarming performance of the classic fan-favorite “TOUCH.”
NCT 127 charmed with suave performances of “No Clue,” “Pricey,” “Regular,” and “Sticker,” adding fun twists to their hit songs to showcase new sides of their classic performances.
In addition to their performances, the boy group also captivated with their hilarious banter and casual conversations with NCTzens, easing the crowd and bringing laughter to fans with their small talk about NCT DREAM attending their concert and fans’ reaction to their “Sticker” performance. Not to mention, Jungwoo jokingly brought up Haechan winking to the members every time their eyes met during performances.
With no time to rest, NCT 127 returned to the stage with their mash up of “Whiplash” and “Lemonade.” The concert continued to show off its artistic flair with a stunning performance of “Rain Drop,” which captured a breathtakingly beautiful story on stage.
The concert took a moment to slow down with emotional performances of “Can’t Help Myself,” “Gold Dust,” and “No Longer.”
NCT 127’s concert continued to climb to its climax with performances of “Far,” “Kick It,” and “Fact Check.” As cheers poured out, NCT 127 matched the audience’s energy with powerful dance moves and vocals, filling up the stage with their powerful presence.
With the momentum in NCT 127’s favor, the group returned with their encore performance of “Walk.” Commenting on the enthusiasm of the crowd, Johnny shared, “I was about to jump into the crowd. I held myself back.”
Wrapping up, the members shared a heart-to-heart with the fans, starting with Johnny who reflected on the group’s first-ever concert. Listening to the cheers from the crowd, he remarked, “How could I ever forget this? I’ll carry this with me forever.”
Haechan sincerely thanked his members for creating a great concert and added, “Going forward, I can’t say or predict what will happen, but I will continue to do my best as I always have.”
Mark also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m really proud of the members,” similarly reminiscing of NCT 127’s first concert experience.
Yuta candidly remarked, “Honestly, I thought a lot about what a team is,” explaining that much has happened to the team. However, he talked about how he gained a great sense of confidence while performing the concert with the members, adding, “I want to express my gratitude to the members who always help me a lot.”
Jungwoo remarked, “NCT 127 will be forever, reflecting the hearts of fans who attended the concert.
Doyoung thanked all the creative directors and staff who created a beautiful concert experience and reflected, “While performing ‘Kick It,’ the members honestly looked so cool. They were looking at each other and enjoying themselves. I got the thought that if it’s with these people, I can perform for a long, long time. I can continue to do music without fear.” Asking fans for their support, he thanked the fans and expressed his love but added, “But I love my members the most!”
The concert came to a close as the members came together to perform “Promise You.”
