Lord Alan Sugar is returning to our screens for the new series of The Apprentice to reward a candidate with a life-changing investment - but away from the boardroom, he has a lavish collection of properties.
The business tycoon, 77, and face of BBC's The Apprentice, is reportedly the 159th richest person in the UK with an estimated net worth of £1.082 billion. He's had an impressive rags-to-riches journey - from being born in an East London council flat to becoming a billionaire in 2015, as per The Times' 2024 Rich List - with his property list adding to the luxurious lifestyle he's secured for himself.
In 1981, Lord Sugar purchased a historic five-bedroom property set within three acres of parkland for £800,000 in a bid to stay close to London. He resided in the Essex pad in Chigwell with his wife, Ann Simons and raised their three now-adult children, Simon, Daniel and Louise.

BBC)According to Land Registry documents, his daughter took over the ownership of the mansion in 2021 for £8.5million - impressively without a mortgage. Since securing the property, she is said to have undergone a major transformation with plans to increase the size by a third to add a luxurious spa, yoga studio and dog room.
As well as this Essex property, Lord Sugar previously owned a £8.4million waterside six-bedroom mansion in Boca Raton, Florida. This specific area was said to have the highest average household income in the state and the third highest across the US. In 2020, he confirmed that he "no longer" had the home in Florida during an online feud with Piers Morgan.
Defending Brits who had headed to the beach during lockdown, Piers had tweeted, "Billionaire hiding safely in his luxury Florida home demands the right for British people to all go out sunbathing…" In response, Lord Sugar hit back with, "Just so you know I don't have a house any more in Florida that's rubbish info @piersmorgan has spread to wind people up against me. I have a flat with a balcony. Pool area closed, no tennis, no golf, no boats all by law.1 hour exercise."

ITV)Despite selling one property in the Sunshine State, the following month, Lord Sugar took to X, formerly Twitter, to advertise a £10.5million luxurious six-bedroom and seven-bathroom Florida mansion that was owned by one of his companies. The waterfront property in Palm Beach boasted an enormous swimming pool with its own bar and two bathrooms in the master bedroom - because one is never enough!
Lord Sugar also owned a six-bedroom villa in Costa del Sol, which he bought for around £3.5 million before reportedly selling it for £9.7millon in 2015 - making a cool profit of over £4million. Set on a private road near the beach, the abode was a stunning three-storey Spanish mustard-painted villa.
